About Yvonne
There are moments in life that ask for someone who is truly present. When we lose someone we love, everything that surrounds that loss matters: the way we are listened to, the care taken over every detail, the feeling that nothing has been left to chance. Supporting people through that experience is work I find deeply meaningful.
My background is rooted in international environments. I have lived and worked in England and in Brussels, and spent several years working across cultures within Carrefour, one of Europe's largest retail groups. Those years shaped the way I listen, the way I communicate, and the way I understand what it means to build a life abroad.

After a long career in the business world, I made a deliberate choice to take a different path. A serious illness brought me face to face with the fragility of life. It led me towards the more human side of existence, and I found that in the work of a funeral director.
I trained as a funeral director in the Netherlands, hold two professional quality certifications, and work in English, Dutch and French. I know the particular terrain that expat families navigate when losing a loved one far from home: the unfamiliar regulations, the distance from the wider family, and navigating everything in a second language. I understand your world from firsthand experience.
Every family I work with receives my full and undivided attention, from the very first conversation to the moment of goodbye. I work with a small number of families at a time, by deliberate choice. You will always work directly with me, at every step, throughout the entire process.
Families entrust me with something irreplaceable. I hold that trust with great care, and with the understanding that there is only one opportunity to get this right. Your wishes are my guide, and I bring my whole self to honouring them.
I work with families who value discretion, personal attention, and a farewell that is honest to the life that was lived. If that resonates with you, I would be genuinely glad to speak.
‘Je gaf ons ruimte voor eigen ideeën én onze verhalen. Je gevoel voor humor en praktische aanpak deden ons goed’
