UNIQUE FUNERAL TRANSPORT

These days, I probably know more about ceremonial funeral vehicles than I do about ordinary cars. The possibilities have become wonderfully varied over the years. Some families choose traditional funeral transport, while others feel drawn to something more personal: a fully electric Tesla, a classic Daimler, a horse drawn carriage, a sturdy Land Rover Defender, or soon even a beautiful Citroën DS. The choice often says something quietly meaningful about the person being remembered and the atmosphere a family wishes to create around the farewell.
What should never be underestimated is the importance of the people behind the wheel. A good driver brings far more than practical skill. Many of the chauffeurs I work with have a deep affection for the funeral profession and carry remarkable life stories of their own. Over the years, I have come to value these collaborations enormously. Funeral care is never created alone. It is shaped together with dedicated people across many different disciplines, each contributing their own care and craftsmanship.
Below are a few impressions of the vehicles that can accompany a farewell. But perhaps the finest image of all remains Nico van Geest, wearing his bowler hat beside a classic Daimler, dignified, warm, and completely at ease in his role.
